A visual journey through a surprising paper world.
A book opens. A page comes up. A triangle appears. Is it a tent? Smoke rises from the tip. Does someone live there? Light in the triangle. Bird sounds. A dog barks. Is the sun coming up? The moon shines on the tent. And becomes a canoe. A match is an oar.
Papierlied is a visual performance that begins with a small bookcase. Slowly an extraordinary world unfolds full of shadow play, pop-up models, objects, sound and light. The creators bring a paper world to life. They fold, cut and tear.
Annelies Van Hullebusch once created a performance in a child's bedroom for Krokusfestival. Using conversations, objects and notebooks, she’s always searching for the best ways to compose her work. We know Wanda Eyckerman from her work with Tuning People, BRONKS, Kopergietery, Laika, fABULEUS, among others....

ABOUT THE COMPANY
Annelies Van Hullebusch is an artist and performer who uses objects, maps, scale models, self-written short stories, audio narratives and books to constantly search for the best form to compose her work. Together with actress Wanda Eyckerman, she crafts a paper world to life.
