A folk singer comes on stage. Ready for the concert of his life. His oeuvre: songs about his life. His hits: My sweet but naughty dog, A mysterious Christmas Eve with the family, Oh dear spring, where are you...?

But does everyone want to listen to this misery? When the children in the audience become rebellious, the theater realizes they've booked the wrong act. The theater programmers subtly try to get rid of the folk singer. But how do you stop someone who doesn’t want to stop?

The best of me is a performance about the magic of theater, how you can create big changes with small things, and how you often achieve more together than by trying to do everything alone. But wait... is that the folk singer behind the technics, or are they hiring the theater technicians to follow the folk singer? And last but not least: how can it suddenly snow on stage?

Dutch Theater Artemis is artistically led by Jetse Batelaan. Their work is known for creating innovative forms of theatre and challenging experiences for young people.
